BLS AED Provider Training

ACLS BLS

Being BLS (Basic Life Support) trained is important when riding on an ambulance because emergencies can change in a matter of seconds. Every crew member plays a role in providing safe, effective patient care

Being BLS certified is an important part of being in the EMS and a mandatory requirement for all members riding on a call.

 

​What you will learn:

  • The importance of high-quality CPR and its impact on survival

  • Recognizing the signs of someone needing CPR

  • Performing high-quality CPR for an adult, a child, and an infant

  • Performing chest compressions using correct hand placement at the correct rate and depth with chest recoil

  • How to deliver effective rescue breaths (ventilation)

  • The importance of early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)

  • How to use an AED

  • How to relieve choking in an adult, a child, and an infant​​

Complete your registration for the HeartCode® BLS online course through the American Heart Association.

After registering, submit your purchase receipt using our General Document Submission Form.

Once you complete the online portion, download your Certificate of Completion and submit it using the General Document Submission Form.
